1. Description Flupentixol + Melitracen is a fixed-dose combination of a low-dose thioxanthene antipsychotic and a tricyclic antidepressant. A commonly marketed tablet contains Flupentixol 0.5 mg + Melitracen 10 mg. The combination has antidepressant, anxiolytic (anti-anxiety), and activating properties. 2. Components & Mechanism Flupentixol Belongs to the thioxanthene class. At low doses, it has anxiolytic and antidepressant properties. It mainly acts by blocking dopamine receptors. Melitracen A tricyclic antidepressant (TCA). Has activating antidepressant properties and affects the reuptake of neurotransmitters such as noradrenaline and serotonin.
